Your negotiation Committee has worked long and hard and has made significant advancements in many areas of the Collective Agreement.
The highlights include:
- Wages: Appendix “A” and Appendix “AA” of the Collective Agreement shall be amended as follows:
- Effective January 1st, 2024 – 6.0%
- Effective January 1st, 2025 – 3.0%
- Effective January 1st, 2026 – 2.0%
If you are entitled to a retro payment, this will shall be paid to eligible employees within ninety (90) days following the signing of the Collective Agreement.
- The Corporation shall pay a non-pensionable lump-sum payment, less applicable withholdings as required by law, to employees who are employed with the Corporation on the date of signing of the Collective Agreement. This payment shall be in the amount of:
- $1,000.00 to all Postmasters and other employees classified as full-time;
- $500.00 to all other employees.
The above payment shall be paid in accordance with the substantive positions of employees on the date of signing the Collective Agreement. The payment shall be paid to eligible employees within ninety (90) days following the signing of the Collective Agreement.
- Leasing Allowance: The amounts in Appendix “I” to the Collective Agreement (Leasing Allowance) shall be increased as follows:
- Effective January 1st, 2024 – 5.5%
- Effective January 1st, 2025 – 3.5%
- Effective January 1st, 2026 – 3.5%
If you need an increase to the Leasing Allowance, criteria will be established and developed into a form to be used by members when making application for a leasing allowance increase as per Article 43.

- Isolated Post: The amounts for the Isolated Post Allowance shall be increased as follows:
- Effective January 1st, 2024 – 5.0%
- Criteria will be established for evaluating offices.
- Acting Assignments will be offered to Terms with Continuous service in the office prior to an employee within a 50 km radius.
- Terms will get priority in staffing and extra hours.
- Truth and Reconciliation Day has been added to the list of Designated Holidays.
- Recovery of Overpayments will be defaulted to 10% per pay period unless the employee wishes to pay a greater amount.
- A childcare fund has been created for employees.
- Transfer form has been simplified
- Supplemental Allowance will be increased to a max of $470,000 per year. Applicants can receive a maximum of $730 per year.
- Senior Assistant Allowance will be increased to $415 per year.
- CPAA members will be added to the Management travel policy.
